A Town Named Odd

Foo went way out of his way to visit a very strange town by the name of Odd. It was really just too odd to pass up.
Even better, Foo found a sign for the Odd church. Although kind of redundant because churches are, indeed, odd, Foo still found it amusing that they were aware of it too.

Church of Knowledge?

Foo does know that knowledge and churches don't usually mix, so he was curious about this one he found on the Princeton campus. Perhaps it was just for the town folk, or just a really cool building.

Hope Eternal

Foo was so happy to see that there was still hope everywhere in New York City. So much that they hang up signs about it. He hopes he gets to come back for more hope someday.

Old York in the New

Foo was fascinated that even in the big-building landscape of New York City, he could find a tiny tiny old church and a graveyard in the middle. Kinda creepy, kinda fun... wonder what's inside?

Church Gate

Among all the giant buildings, Foo was fascinated to find this little old, really old church, just hiding out underneath the soaring beasts.
Luckily there was this big fence to keep all the rest of the city at bay. It could use a coat of paint though.

Finally Honesty!

Foo appreciates the fact that this church admits that it is a retail business trying to sell something due to its location in a strip mall. At least somebody isn't being so hypocritical about it...

Mission Improbable

Foo was on a mission to see the three ancient missions in San Antonio. He went to Mission Espada first in hopes of finding a good Spanish sword of his very own.

However, as Foo approached the church at the mission, the bells started ringing and a bizarre black cloud-that smelled of strongly of acrid pine, flowed out of the church doors. As it enveloped Foo, he started to grow exponentially in size until he became bigger than all the buildings. But he couldn't have that... he wouldn't be able to fit in the car.
In his super gigantic form, Foo flew into a rage at the idea of his road trip being cut short. He stomped about the complex and finally managed to squash the evil church under his massive feet. Only then did the spell release and he was returned to his normal size. Because of that magical spell, he decided his mission was over and he didn't need to see the other two. Who knows what would have happened to him there?

Ring That Bell

Foo just had to run up and ring this bell, especially since it was at a colored church. But he could see that the church was white, so that confused him a bunch until he remebered that white was the presence of all colors so in effect all white people are multicolored. Puts kind of a big hole in the Nazi argument... don't ya think?

Gay Church

Foo found the name of this church absolutely fascinating. Usually churches are so ignorant that they don't allow gays into their parishes. This one had so many there was actually a hill of them, and they also advertise the sexual position that is preferred by members. How progressive! Foo has renewed faith in... nah... never mind.

Over-Inflated Importance

When Foo saw this gigantic 70-foot cross from the highway (it's kind of hard to miss), he had to go check it out. He came to the conclusion that this church clearly had an over-inflated sense of self-importance if they needed to broadcast their presence to the world like that. That's really just kind of sad...

LEGO Church Wasn't Built in a Day

Foo wonders just how many LEGOs it took to build this church, St. Martin's Episcopal. It's impressive since the LEGOs are so small... By the way, this is the view from Foo's office where he "works." Sadly this is not his office. His actual office has no windows, which makes for a sad Foo dog.
