Woman Power

Foo is all about women being chief in the decisions of almost everything, so it was nice to see this statue of famous Tennessee suffragists Lizzie Crozier French of Knoxville, Anne Dallas Dudley of Nashville and Elizabeth Avery Meriwether of Memphis who fought for the vote.

North Foo-linians

It never fails to amaze Foo when he finds he Fu Dog cousins all over. This one was settling in for some good food and nice weather at Harry's Grill!

Horsin' Around

Foo found this horse and just knew he could ride 'im high, and ride 'im low... if only he would just move. After a few minutes, Foo realized that the horse wasn't just statuesque, he was a statue. Fail...

Tiki Topper

Foo never can resist jumping up on any cool statues, including this tiki man. Unfortunately, the tiki dude got mad because he was scoping out chicks in the parking lot and Foo disturbed his roll.

Apparently Racy

These statues are known locally as "scandalous." Hmmm Foo would disagree, except local is South Carolina. Yeah, it's just that bad there.

Spitting Distance

Foo found this really cool head sculpture at a business plaza near his hotel. 

The only problem was that when Foo got too close, the statue actually spit on his head. Not the shower he had been expecting, but it was a very bracing way to begin the morning.

Mega Moose

Foo was just driving along and almost literally ran into this moose! Foo jumped out of the car and made sure the big guy was okay. Foo does kinda drive fast! No worries, Murray was in fine spirits.

Mothman Returns

Foo had heard stories about the mythical mothman who was known to terrorize the town of Point Pleasant, WV. He was happy to actually find him when he visited the town.

Foo read up on the legend while visiting with the beast. Foo knows what really happened. As always, he was there.

That's a Big Boy

With a great big sandwich, Foo just couldn't believe how big this boy was. So big, he stopped for the photo!

Say a Big Prayer

Foo was just wandering through the garden and came upon these little morsels that looked amusing, but he was not alone.

Although he could have been scared, Foo just addressed this newcomer the way he always does: with a smile and the offer of a photo op. The giant mantis was only too happy to oblige, but Foo left when it started rubbing its front claws together.

Mr. Fooniverse

Foo was traveling along when he found this body building sculpture in front of the Columbus convention center. Foo decided then and there to strive to be that muscular.

When he stepped back, he realized that it was none other than Arnold Scwarzeneggar, Mr. Universe back in the day. Boy he's a lot smaller than Foo thought.

Happy Griffin

This griffin was so amazingly friendly that Foo just had to get in an get a picture. The griffin even waved at the camera!

Flights of Fancy

Foo was ready to take off into the wild blue yonder on his new eagle friend, but then it all went wrong.

The eagle banked and suddenly was headed straight at the camera. Boy was it a close one! Luckily Foo's camera operator ducked in the nick of time.

Wise Friend

Foo always likes finding owls everywhere he goes, particularly because they give such great advice. This one told him not to stay in one place for too long. He doesn't plan to!

Pretty Sitters

Foo was happy to meet this hound friend. He really liked to sit pretty, and very gentlemanly with the crossed legs and all. Nice old chap!

Immigrant Honor

Immigrants are the stuff that America was built on, so Foo loves when he finds a statue that honors them instead of the ignorant people that are annoyingly against them.

Foos for Life

At last Foo found somebody he could really get along with since he met another Fu Dog with flaming whiskers that were just awesome. Foo's considering whisker implants now.

Bearly Bitten

Foo took a chance with this guy, thinking he was hibernating, it being November and all, but low and behold, the bear was a little hungry. Foo only narrowly escaped being a tasty little midmorning snack. Good thing he's fast and not that easy to chew.

Half Cocked

Foo knew that this guy once ruled the roost, but now he's looking a bit peckish, being just a head and all. When Foo made that joke, he had to duck. The rooster went off all half-cocked!

Hissssssss Story

Foo thought about being afraid of this slithering hissy dude, but he realized the snake really couldn't get him since he was on a stick. Phew!
