Oh the Wells Foo-go Wagon Is A-Comin....

Foo couldn't resist getting into the driver's seat of this stagecoach and getting those dogie's rolling! He just hopes no one gets dysentery or wanders off because he doesn't have three days...

Foo Loves the Smell of Napalm in the Morning

Foo is ready to go into battle to fight evil spirits, stray tourists, and errant marmots should they threaten his Foo-tastic lifestyle. Ready... Aim... Foo!

Foo's Furry Friends

Foo, the friendly Foo Dog that he is, was on a roll today with making new friends. Some were nice but rather quiet, like Baaaarbaaara here, the Bighorn sheep.

Others... well... Foo learned that Foo doesn't have to run faster than the bear; he just has to run faster than you!

Foo-Sicle

On top of Pike's Peak, Foo found a Foo-sized ice cave, complete with stylish icicles to adorn the ceiling. Decorating shows, eat your hearts out, this pad is COOL!

On Top of Old Pike's Peak...

Throwing fear and caution to the wind, Foo reached the top of Pike's Peak and proudly posed by the sign to prove it!

He then proceeded to frolic and play in the wind and snow at 14,110 feet and an icy 10 degrees!

He took some time to check out the spectacular views, and even points out where the track ends... and the fall begins...

Foo Fear Felt No More

Today, Foo went to the top of Pike's Peak in Manitou Springs, CO, on the Cograil train.

Although he was so scared at first, luckily his new-found friend, Michael, was there to make sure Foo had no more fear!

Colorado Rocks... Literally

In spite of this visitor information site being a complete bust for actual information, Foo found fun on this rock outside that apparently has the devil golfing with aliens... or buffalo... or turtles... Cave art is weird.

Green, Green Everywhere

Foo gets his first view of Colorado at this scenic byway, looking at Fisher's Peak, which was formerly Raton Peak. Colorado won it from New Mexico, apparently... Mountains, trees, rocks... hmmm... sounds like the West.

Foo Is Not Afraid of Heights...

Foo proved his bravery by walking the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge outside of Taos and battling the winds to look down into the rapid-laden Rio Grande, which he whitewater rafted on just a few days ago!

Pueblo de Foo

Foo couldn't help running around and playing with the other puppies at the Taos Pueblo, the oldest and longest-lived-in Pueblo in the country. He had some yummy cinnamon Fry Bread, too!

Yummy Sushi

Foo finally got to try sushi in the Southwest at this restaurant in Taos. Not too shabby for the middle of the desert! And he got to play with his friend, the lucky Chinese cat!

The REAL Sunflower

Foo thought the best part of Taos, NM, was this really neat plant sculpture that is also a solar energy generator! Now THAT'S G-G-G-Green Power!

How Blue Can it Get?

Foo enjoyed the sight of the cool lake on the Nambe Pueblo Reservation from the bottom.

But when he got to look at it from above, he saw the real beauty of New Mexico in all its colors. It's Foo-rific!

I've Falls-en and I Can't Get Up

Foo enjoyed this short hike on the Nambe Pueblo Reservation just north of Santa Fe to see this really cool waterfall coming out of the mountainside. He just wishes he could have drunk some of the water!

So Long Santa Fe

Foo says a tearful goodbye to Santa Fe and the Sage Inn, which was a great place to stay and made Foo a very happy puppy!

He'll Flip You For It...

Foo ended his day by visiting the Aikido Institute of New Mexico for a bracing workout with these fellow aikidoists in Albuquerque, NM. He wiped the mat with them, and didn't even break a sweat. Wish that could be said for the rest of us!

Arch Rivals

Foo wishes he could jump through this hoop, but alas it was too high and hard to get to, so he just had to turn and laugh at it because it would have been intimidated if it weren't keeping to itself.

Ashes to Ashes

Foo checks out this cool piece of Volcanic land found at El Malpais (the badlands). It was difficult to keep him from licking it and seeing if it tasted like licorice.

A Continent Divided

Foo poses by the Continental Divide sign and keeps guard to make sure the two sides don't try to get back together. What a mess that would be...

Writing is on the Wall

Foo stops to soak in the history of all of the Spanish forefathers who came before him and left their marks on the great sandstone El Morro National Monument.

Which Way Did He Go, Foo?

The paths along the top of El Morro were often hard to see.

Foo was ready with the assist to find the stacked trail markers so the entire party could reach the other side safely.

"Foo-ndiana" Jones

High on the top of El Morro, Foo braved on ahead and found the ruins of this Pueblo that really was the answer to penthouse living in ancient times.

El Morro, El Morro...

I'll love ya El Morro... and so did Foo! He had a great time hiking this mammoth sandstone rock outside of Grants, NM.

Chill Out!

After scaling the Bandera Volcano, Foo decided to take it to the cool side in this chilly 31 degree Ice Cave right nearby! He's happy he has a fur coat!

Foo Makes Some Furry Friends

While at the volcano and ice cave, Foo attracted the curiosity of some itty bitty ferral felines who took a break from eating their headless chipmunk to stare at the Foo in a way to make "I Can Haz Cheezburger" proud.

Are you familiar with the works of Shan-Foo?

As it is said, you never really meet someone until you hold them over a volcano... so Foo really showed his true colors today at the Bandera Volcano outside of Grants, NM. As for Foo's true colors: Foo is pretty much Foo.

Afterward he went digging in the volcanic ash along the trail as though nothing had happened.

In-Tents Hike!

Foo thought he finally found his tent at Tent Rocks after an intense hike up and down. Sadly, it was just one of the land formations. He then decided it must be a god and should be worshipped.

Let's Keep on Klimbing!

On the way back down from the top of Tent Rocks, Foo decides to scamper halfway up a tree in the canyon because he just hasn't climbed enough today! He eventually came down after begging and pleading from the tired humans.

Foo Climbs His Way to the Top

Foo delights in having made it alllllll the way to the top of Tent Rocks....

... so he can look alllllll the way down into the really cool canyon!

He even agreed to share the pics with Victoria, who he helped make it to the top by scouting out the best footholds and fending off the killer flies, salamanders, and signs about rattlesnakes.

Canyon Dig It?

From deep within the Tent Rocks Canyon, Foo marvels at the natural grandeur this planet offers and a really cool underwater feeling in the deserts of New Mexico... or maybe Tatooine.

Ready to Hike Again!

Foo prepares for a grueling, steep vertical hike through Kasha Katuwe Tent Rocks Canyon and onto the top way up high! He just hopes there's a tent at the top, as promised in the brochure.

Foo Snacktime!

Foo kicks back and refuels after a thrilling whitewater rafting trip on the Rio Grande!

On the menu: River Thai (nacho chips, salsa, and peanut butter... YUM actually!) and River Thai Dessert (sandwich cookies, peanut butter, and salsa).

And don't forget the watermelon. Foo ate this one ALL by himself!!!

How to Make Friends and In-Foo-ence People

Foo became fast friends with whitewater rafting guide, Billy!

They were such good friends that Billy requested a Foo photo of his very own, especially because the rafts matched the Foo fur!

Whitewater Foo

Because Billy was so into Foo, Foo got to join us on the whitewater river raft! Here is the group photo, and below, you can see Foo in action on the rapids!
