Art of the Sitting

Foo just had to join these crazy looking people on this painted couch he found in his travels. He thought he fit in just fine with them all, but he kinda wanted to eat those eggs.
When he went over to try one, he found a little kitty sleeping on the couch and it reminded him of his kitty friends back home who love to snuggle with him. Foo offered the kitty some of the eggs, but she kept on sleeping and sleeping and sleeping.

Cheeseborger Cheeseborger!

Although Foo couldn't make it this trip to the original location, he just had to stop by this Billy Goat Tavern and Grill for a famous and much yelled about Cheeseborger with No Fries, Chips! He really wanted a goat burger, but they weren't very bendy on the menu.

Save Ferris

It is Chicago after all, the home of Ferris Buehller. And even if this isn't the same kind of Ferris, it's still cool. Foo thought it looked wheely cool.

City Scape

Some of the best views of the Chicago skyline are out on the lake itself, so Foo took advantage of his visit of Navy Pier to show just that. In spite of the cloudy day, doesn't downtown look fabulous?

And Foo just couldn't resist the northern view of the city either. Aren't those buildings just so pretty?

He Went to Garrett's

Foo was so delighted to get a chance to buy and eat the most fabulous popcorn and caramel corn around at Garrett's. By far his favorite is the Chicago Mix: Cheddar popcorn and Caramel all mixed together. Mmm salty sweet perfection!
Even better, he got to see how they used to make it the old fashioned way. They wouldn't let him jump in the machine though, but that was probably all for the best.

Pier Closer

Foo just couldn't visit Chicago without a trip to Navy Pier. There's always so much to see and do, but he's pretty sure they got the color wrong. It doesn't look all that navy.

State Flag Swag

Just to prove to some of his nay-saying Texas friends that Illinois does, in fact, have a state flag, he just had to get this picture. The more famous flag of the state (Chicago), however, insisted on being in the picture as well and "that guyed" the photo in the background.

Foo's Got the Blues

Brothers, that is. These two cool cats always welcome Foo home for some crazy blues hopping action. Hit it boyz!

Western View

Foo just loved all the views he could see of the city, including this one that let him see all the way west. If it hadn't been a little cloudy, he could have seen his old house.

Foo's On Top!

The journey to the top was totally worth it so Foo could check out these amazing views of the city from the Sears Tower.
He started collecting a crowd as he yammered on and on about all the cool buildings they could see to the north.
When they looked to the south and could almost see Solider Field behind those tall buildings on the left, he bragged about going to the game that Sunday. One Bears fan was so jealous he actually passed out and stopped Foo's presentation altogether. Geez they take football seriously!

Fun Foo Facts

While Foo waited to get up to the top of the Sears Tower, he engaged in some pretty harrowing feats, such as crossing this high-flying beam, but really he just learned some interesting tower facts.
He learned that the observation deck for the Sears Tower was on the 103rd floor.
He also learned that the elevator was really a great idea because otherwise, he'd have to climb up and down 2,232 steps. That's not exactly fun.

Iconic Chicago

Foo was so excited to be back in Chicago that he wanted to make sure he saw all the iconic highlights.
First stop? The iconic Sears Tower. He adamantly refuses to call it the Willis Tower because that just makes it the Big Willie, and that's just wrong...

Goin' Hog Wild

Foo wanted to take it to the limits and check out this Harley-Davidson dealership while in the Chicagoland area. He was bound and determined to find the perfect bike.
He loved this one because of the color and the shiny, but it was just a little to big for him. He couldn't even reach the throttle.
At last he found one more his size, but this time it was just a little too small, and it squeaked, and the wheels didn't move... frown.

Foo's Got the Blues

Foo and his friend Layla were excited to find the Blues Brothers jamming and cavorting all the way down in Texas. It was a nice relief to see familiar faces, but it just made Foo want to go to Sweet Home Chicago.

Elevated Memories

Although note quite as impressive as the train outside, this Astros train was elevated so it made Foo think of his old home in Chicago..... Frown...

Packing a Foo

Foo was so sad to leave his new friend Noelle and his friends in Chicago that he cried and cried and cried and almost refused to get on the plane. It was so bad, he almost had to be checked as luggage, but once that threat was made, he calmed down enough to ride in the cabin. That would have been a cold Foo!

Flights of Family

Foo just couldn't wait to get on the plane to fly to Chicago to see his friends and family. He just loves to fly Southwest because Foo's fly for free!
As Foo looked out onto the tarmac before the flight, the sun was setting and he was ready. But that was when he noticed that he seat didn't recline. Boo...

Chicago Style in Houston?

Upon hearing that there was authentic Chicago-style deep dish pizza somewhere in Houston, Foo simply had to go check it out for himself. Although it was decent at Star Pizza, it just wasn't quite the same. Foo said the toppings were alright, but the crust simply lacked substance and that buttery goodness he so loves to savor. Alas, he'll just have to order it and have it shipped from the Windy City itself.

Sounds a Little Gray

Foo wanted to hear the sweet sounds at this cool, artsy amphitheatre in Chicago in the middle of Millennium Park, but there was no concert that day. Just misty weather and a wedding party trying to steal his photo thunder. Ah well. Congrats!

Where Did the City Go?

Too bad it turned into such a foggy, misty, rainy day in Chicago. Foo couldn't believe this was actually June, but he couldn't resist getting this famous railyard photo. And there's even a train coming in! Choo Choo!
