Water Bushes

Foo and friends got off the boat for a while to grab a drink and he came upon these really weird bushes that were growing in the water... Foo just hopes they can swim.

High Flooding

Being a town on the river isn't just beautiful views and boating fun. Apparently, this area has been know to flood a lot, and this pillar tells the tale with historical markers. Foo is just glad he can swim.

Harboring Thoughts

As Foo prepared to get onto the ferry, he took a look over the harbor. He was told that was New Jersey, but it didn't look very new.
But once out on the water, he was so excited with the wind in his teeth and the sun on the sparkling water. Too bad it was a tad chilly.

Bridge Over the River Foo

Well they haven't yet agreed to rename this body of water the River Foo... partly because it's not really a river and partly because Foo isn't a New York resident. But the bridge was pretty anyway.

Mill You Please Help?

Foo wanted more and more cider, so he decided he needed to help the process by jumping up on this mill. Sadly it was a little too cold for water to be running, but Foo might have contributed a little "water" of his own...

Tunnel of Fish

Foo's little friend, Josephine was at first very scared about crawling through this tunnel that went under the water and through the fish. He went first to show her that there was nothing to be scared of, and wow, did she crawl fast and have a fabulous time!

Meow That's a Big Fish!

Foo is quite familiar with cats and fish, but wow, he'd never met such a big catfish before. Cats don't like water, and they eat fish, so can this fish get out of the water or is it cannibalistic? Foo didn't really want to stay and find out. He was eying Foo like lunch.

Are You There, Flo?

When Foo heard that he could see Flow Works at the Houston Children's Museum, he thought he was going to finally me the Progressive commercial lady, but it was just this fountain. It was still really cool and boy did the water spray feel good!

Discovery Cyclone

Foo discovered a lot of things here at Discovery Green, including this really neat architectural play fountain that people could play in and cool down. Foo wanted to join in, but there were leash laws in effect and so he couldn't be let go.

Jeepers!

Foo thought this military jeep was quite the interesting piece. Apparently it was part of the U.S. Navy and worked about light aircraft carriers. Foo was confused by this as he figured vehicles with wheels would probably work better on land... but that's just him.

Where Can I Get a Drink?

After his long morning with lots and lots of walking around, Foo was so very thirsty.... He just couldn't for the life of him figure out where he could buy water....

A Little Loopy

Foo wasn't sure what to make of this loopy tunnel in Hermann Park. Apparently it's a water sprinkler that people can run through, but with not water... it's kind of like a giant ribcage so Foo pretended he was a digesting snack...

You're My Water Ball

Foo really had a ball watching this giant stone sphere turn freely in this really cool water fountain. He tried to move the giant ball himself, but had no luck. He didn't know water was that strong!

Bored on the Bayou

When Foo got his first glimpse of the Buffalo Bayou, he was not too in love with it. The water doesn't move, and it's kind of brown... so whatever.

But then he realized the area was filled with many cool sights to see, like the Downtown Aquarium and Restaurant, which comes complete with its very own waterfall. Foo needs to go there someday!

You Spew Goats

Foo thought this fountain was nice and peaceful and was about to take a drink when he looked up and saw that the "water" was actually goat spit... ew...

A Bit of Bubbly

Foo really liked the Neuhaus Fountain in Sam Houston Park because it kind of matched his color a little and the water was bubbling fresh and clear. He promises the bubbles were not his farts, even though he did just have a burrito.

It's All Fun and Games...

...until someone almost drowns. And that's what happened at the lake today. Foo was being too rambunctious and didn't have his lifejacket on, so when he struggled to make it back to the surface, Winchester dove into the water to save him and got him back up onto the raft.
Winchester thought all was well until he looked over and noticed that Foo wasn't breathing.
But luckily Winchester never is one to panic, and he immediately felt Foo's head for his temperature and checked his body for a heartbeat.
Then Winchester quickly began administering CPR (he's so glad he took those classes) by blowing air into Foo's mouth...
...then pushing on his chest to try to get the water out and his heart beating.

After several minutes of this Foo came to and started laughing uproariously.
Apparently Foo was only showing Winchester again how to "play dead" and he was fine the whole time! Exhausted by the efforts, Winchester collapsed onto Foo and nearly fell into the water himself.

In spite of Foo's mean joke, they made up and are still good friends.

You're My Water Wall

Foo wanted to sing in the rain, but he chose to frolic in the fountain instead when he found this cool water wall monument in the Galleria area of Houston, TX.

It looked cool from a distance, but then Foo got to get closer and felt the mist and the grandeur of the breezy water.

Then he got to sit in the echo spot...

...before checking out the outside of the structure.

It was certainly a cool refreshing respite from the hot Houston summer heat.

Going Up?

Foo wasn't entirely sure which way to go so he chose to go up river... er.. fountain on the campus of the University of Houston.

Party Barge!

Foo found a Foo-sized drinking boat just for him! It was also helpful to know he was "In Tex"as for when he gets too far under the Shiner table. He already had two when this picture was taken, as you can see.
